Every year the same thing happens: the best dandiya passes go quickly, and the last weekend arrives before anyone has made a plan. This guide has two parts. Second, if you would rather run your own night with your own playlist and guest list, the kinds of venues that work for private gatherings.
Dates and venues below were checked against the official ticket pages on 12 October 2026. Organisers can change timings, so confirm on the ticket page before you travel.

How to Pick the Right Night
With this many options, a quick filter saves time. For the biggest production, with large crowds and a festival-style setup, head to Bharat Mandapam. For a weekday after work, Dilli Haat in Janakpuri runs all week. If you are travelling with kids or older family members, the farm and club lawns in Noida and Gurugram are easier to move around in than stadium-scale events. And if you live in Faridabad, the IMT night saves you the long drive into Delhi on a crowded weekend.
Reach early on Saturday, 17 October, the busiest night of the season. Parking and entry queues at the larger venues build up fast after 7 pm, and metro stations near Bharat Mandapam get crowded once events let out.
Garba night venues near you (host your own night)
Searching for garba night venues near me? A public event means someone else's playlist, someone else's crowd and a queue for the dance floor. A private night flips that. You choose the music, the guest list and the dress code, and everyone dances in one circle. For ideas on specific spaces, see Sloshout's guide to the best garba night venues in Delhi.
The venue type decides how the night feels:
- Banquet halls suit weather-proof, sound-friendly nights for office groups, society get-togethers and family functions. Browse banquet halls in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida or Faridabad.
- Farmhouses give you space for a proper dandiya circle, a DJ and a food setup, and many have lawns for larger groups. See farmhouses in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida or Faridabad.
- Open lawns are the closest thing to a traditional garba ground, with open sky and room for a big circle. Start with wedding lawns in Delhi.
A private night also lets you plan around your own group. Housing societies, office teams, college alumni and extended families can all agree on a single date, split the cost per head, and still get a proper garba circle, a live dhol player or DJ, and a full dinner menu. Book decorators, caterers and choreographers separately so you only pay for what the evening needs, and read the Navratri catering guide before you fix the menu.
When you shortlist, check four things: whether outside DJs and decorators are allowed, the sound curfew, parking, and whether there is a covered backup space if the weather turns.
Not sure which format fits your group size? Send an enquiry to Sloshout and the team will shortlist options for your date, budget and headcount.
After Navratri: Dussehra and Sharad Purnima
Demand does not end on 18 October. Dussehra is on Tuesday, 20 October, and Sharad Purnima, the full-moon night known for Raas Purnima celebrations, falls on 25-26 October depending on the calendar you follow (confirm with your local panchang).
If you missed the weekend rush, Meri Dilli Dandiya Utsav at Talkatora Indoor Stadium (23-25 Oct) keeps the season going with a three-day indoor dandiya-garba celebration. Official ticket page
This is also a good window to host a smaller Raas or garba evening for friends, since most public events will have ended and a private venue is easier to book. FAQs
When are Dandiya and Garba nights in Delhi NCR in 2026?
Navratri 2026 runs from 11 October, with Dussehra on 20 October. Most large NCR events are on 16-18 October, and a few, like Meri Dilli Dandiya Utsav, run on 23-25 October.
Do I need tickets?
For commercial events, yes. Passes are sold on the organiser's ticket page, and some events need a photo ID at entry. Residential-society and community nights are often free or open to residents, so check with your RWA.
What should I wear?
Traditional or festive ethnic wear: chaniya choli, kedia or kurta-dhoti, with comfortable footwear or just bare feet where allowed. You will be dancing for hours, so skip anything heavy or restrictive. Many events also run Best Dressed contests.
Do I need to carry my own dandiya sticks?
It varies. Some events include sticks with entry, while others sell them at the venue, so check the ticket page.
Can I book a private venue a day before?
Sometimes, for smaller groups, but it depends on availability, and Navratri weekends are the hardest dates. Decor, DJ and catering also need lead time. Enquire as early as you can and ask what can realistically be arranged at short notice.
Are these events suitable for kids?
Many list family-friendly entry, but ticket and age rules differ per event, so read the "things to know" section on each ticket page.
